Munster Summer Cup Finals 2023

The weekend of the 9th & 10th September saw four of our Summer Cup teams travel to Rushbrooke Tennis Club in Cork to take part in the Summer Cup finals.

The Ladies Grade 3 & 4 teams took to the courts on Saturday where they both enjoyed impressive 3-1 wins over Kilfeacle and Causeway respectively. The Ladies Grade 3 team consisted of Samantha Horan, Denise Flannery, Melissa Kenny & Deirdre Hogan. The Ladies Grade 4 team were Tricia Powell, Emma Cahalan, Naomi Cormacan & Noelle Murphy.

On Sunday the Men’s Grade 4 team of Karl Horan, Justin Conroy, Cathal Hanrahan & Tommy Mulqueen also came away victorious with a 3-1 win against St Anne’s Waterford. The Men’s Grade 6 team of Tommy Haugh, Fergal Hayes, Kenneth Hogan and David Lynch were unlucky to narrowly miss out on the win when their game against the Catholic Institute went to a super doubles decider.

Well done to all the teams on a great Summer Cup campaign. It was a great achievement for our club having so many teams competing in the final.
